Introduction
In my previous blog posts I talked about working with the iPad and SharePoint Online. I am using the application SharePlus for this. Our client, who is going to work with this in a pilot, wants to be able to take files offline. This is possible with SharePlus!
Selecting the desired list or library
To take content offline you need to select the desired list or library. Go to the site where the list or library is and press edit (next to the title of the site). The following screen will appear:

Now click on the list or library and the following screen will appear:

To enable offline support just click on the option and the following screen will appear:

You have a couple of options:
Sync Mode:
You can choose between Browsed or Background. Choose Browsed if only the content you open need to be marked as offline content.
Sync List View:
Choose the list or library view (for example: All documents) that contains the files that can be marked as offline content.
Only WiFi:
Can files only be downloaded for offline use through a WiFi. This is a great option if you want your users not to overuse the 3G membership.
Download Documents:
If you don't want documents to be downloaded deselect this option. Only the metadata will be shown. To be honest, I did not get this to work yet.
Max Document Size:
The file limit of downloaded documents.
Query Page Size:
I believe this means you can select the ammount of list rows that can be downloaded and queried offline. Not sure on this one.
When you are done with the settings just click on Done to confirm. The list or library is now ready for offline use. Go back to home screen of SharePlus and click on Go Offline at the bottom of the application. Go to your site and check:

The only content available, is the list or library you selected. Don't forget to go online again by going to the home page and click on Go Online!
