After working with SharePoint Online 2013 en seeing the SkyDrive Pro and site Sync options, I already had a feeling things were not looking good for SharePoint Workspace. This got confirmed:

To be honest, I did not really use SharePoint Workspace that often so I don't mind this change. The main reason to use SharePoint Workspace is to work offline with documents, this will still be possible in the future but with Windows Explorer:

Colligo supports Sharepoint 2013 if you want richer offline support including metadata, views, lists and so on.
