Nintex Workflow 2007 update

A new version of Nintex Workflow 2007 arrived. These are the new features:

Reminders and Escalations for Request Data Action

The Request Data action now includes the same Reminders and Escalations options as the Flexi task action, allowing for data collection processes to send reminders to the recipient and alert the initiator, or delegate to an alternate if the recipient does not respond.

Support for Querying Lists with Folders

The Query List action now has support for lists with subfolders. This is particularly useful when accessing discussion lists, as it can be used to traverse the discussion thread structure.

Set Task Item Permissions

Task actions now include the ability to set permissions on the item in the workflow. This is particularly useful when used with delegation, for example, the delegated approver can be granted temporary permission to view the item, approve it, and then revert permissions back to the original state.

Secure Workflow Constants

Workflow constants can now be restricted to selected users in the Workflow Designer. If a user without permissions edits an existing workflow containing the constant, the workflow will not publish but can be saved for later publishing by an allowed user.

Improved Error Notifications

Workflow error and cancellation notifications can now be configured at the farm or site collection level, providing easy configuration of enterprise wide system monitoring and alerts.

Improved Start Workflow Action

The Start Workflow action now has an option to only start the target workflow if it’s not already running on the item in question.

Purge Workflow Data

Purge Workflow Data is a new setting in Central Administration, Site Collection or Site that allows selective removal of workflow data from the Nintex Workflow content database. These settings provide a more convenient user interface to the corresponding functions available within the NWAdmin.exe command line utility. Additional options have also been added to NWAdmin.exe to run Purge in silent mode, and to Purge specific site collections.

Add Sites and Lists to Navigation

The Create a Site action and Create List action now include options to add the Site or List to the SharePoint navigation menu.

I find it interesting that they still upgrade the 2007 version. That shows that a lot of customers are still on the 2007 platform.
